Hutt&#8217;s monumental<i> Genetics of the Fowl, <\/i>covering the practical aspects of successful breeding projects as opposed to genetic theory and a detailed discussion of all known chicken genes at the time.<\/p>\n<p>By breaking it out as a slim, 94-page volume, we get straight to the &#8220;How to Do It&#8221; part and dispense with five hundred pages of genetics.
